I’ve always wanted to share a bit of my creative process and now I finally have the chance. How do I use my machines to create a unique sound and which software (synths & effects) are unmissable in my projects? Don’t be mistaken, this class is not just for synth freaks. If you’re looking into buying some gear or simply looking to get that classic sound with software, this is for you.

Day 1
-Machine love: On overview of the machines I work with, and how I use them.
-Find your sound: get the right machine for the right sound.
-Hybrid workflow: get to the point and don’t get lost using hardware. Getting a good workflow/setup in Ableton.

Day 2

-Examples: Deconstructing one or more tracks.
-Crossing over: Get that classic sound with software
-Against the clock: Techniques to quickly get the creative juices flowing.

Born and raised in Belgium, Joris Biesmans, aka Biesmans, made his move to Berlin in 2013, where he started working as a sound technician in one of the city’s most iconic clubs, Watergate. When not tuning the club’s sound system, he could be found amongst his beloved synthesizers, honing his studio craft.  Having recently quit his technician job to focus on making music full-time, he’s a new addition to the W-agency roster and follows suits with an impressive debut EP on the Watergate label.

Next to strong releases in 2019 on labels like Correspondant, AEON, 17 Steps or Future Disco, he also got noticed on social media for his unique POV sessions. In these point-of-view videos, Biesmans shows his live skills and guides you through his hardware heavy studio set-up. 2020 will be the year where he takes this craft to the stage.
